Entry levels of the 18-step and 28-step ver-sions of the Harmony T’ai Chi form will be taught. Participants will have an opportunity to learn the entire 18-step form if they have not previously done so, or may go on to learn much deeper levels of the form.

The “Eight Little Treasures” is the short form of the longer Eight Treasures Qigong Form transmitted by the Ni Family Tradition. The Eight Treasures is comprised of 32 movements arranged into 8 sections. The “Eight Little Treasures” is composed of 1 movement from each of the 8 sections. Teaching certifications are available for this form through the CHI Health Institute which is a non-profit institution that promotes health through the Ni Family Taoist Movement Arts (see our website at www.chihealth.org). There is now a new Tai Chi Straight Sword Short Form! This form, approved by Master Maoshing Ni, consists of the first 16 movements of the full (33-Step) form. Teaching certifications are now being offered for the new short. So Tai Chi Straight Sword is now comprised of Level 1 (the new 16-step short form) and Level 2 (the full 33-Step long form).
Each type of intensive has a specific focus. These courses offer greater flexibility to our students, prospective instructors, and instructors of all ranks, by offering intensive personalized opportunities for learning, training, and refinement.Learning IntensiveThis intensive allows beginning students to work more closely with a CHI Instructor in learning a particular movement art. This intensive may be offered by instructors of all ranks.Refinement IntensiveThis intensive allows students to work closely more closely with a CHI instructor in order to further refine their form. This experience is good for students who want to continue to improve their form for their own practice or because they are interested in pursuing certification. This intensive may be offered by instructors of all ranks.Instructor Training IntensiveThis course is required of all Certified Instructor candidates. It allows their form to be reviewed for final refinements and adjustment prior to the practical exam. It also covers basic teaching skills, required and optional teaching tools, and a review of basic principles in preparation for the written exam. This intensive may only be offered by Senior Instructors and Master Instructors.Senior Instructor Training IntensiveThis course is required of all Senior Instructor candidates. It allows them to work closely with a Master Instructor to improve their discrimination of the form so that the Senior Instructor may accurately administer the practical exam to Certified Instructor candidates. Additional topics may be covered to assure a deeper level of knowledge. This intensive may only be offered by Master Instructors or the Master of the Tradition.Instructor RetreatThis is a chance for CHI instructors of all ranks to get together for common practice, sharing of ideas and experiences, and gaining further inspiration through mutual support. This may be a half-day, day, or several day experience. This intensive may be offered by instructors of all ranks, but must be approved and coordinated through CHI.Master of Tradition – Instructor IntensiveThis is a chance for CHI instructors of all ranks to get together with the Master of the Tradition for common practice, refinement, and inspiration. This intensive may only be offered by the Master of the Tradition in coordination with CHI.
