The Integral Way Lifestyle is the practice of a modern Taoist way of life as transmitted by the Ni Family Tradition known as "The Integral Way." The "Integral Way" integrates the best of classic Taoist practices with useful modern developments to achieve health, happiness, harmony, longevity, and spiritual independence. In the Taoist understanding, these "goals" are attained through the conservation, cultivation, and refinement of the "qi" (chi) or energy of the body, mind, and spirit. The Integral Way Tradition is comprised of 8 areas or groups of energy practices which touch all aspects of life: 1) Integral Wisdom - Taoist teachings as transmitted, interpreted & ellucidated by the Ni Family Tradition 2) Movement Arts - tai chi, qigong/dao-in, bagua, spiritual swordsmanship 3) Heavenly Way Ethics - classic Taoist moral teachings 4) Meditation - Taoist meditation techniques 5) Integral Nutrition - Chinese Nutrition integrated with useful modern, holistic developments 6) Integral Medicine - Traditional Chinese (Taoist) Medicine 7) Advanced Energy Practices - Internal Alchemy, etc. 8) Forecasting Sciences - I Ching, Feng Shui, Chinese Astrology, Face-Reading, etc A person living the Integral Way Lifestyle lives a modern, productive life which includes various energy practices from these 8 areas according to one's needs. Since each person is a unique "tai chi" or "integration" of energy at a different point along the Path of Life, the Integral Way Lifestyle is different for each person. The Integral Way Lifestyle is a holistic, individualized path of refining one's own personal energy. It may be said to be "spiritual" in that "spirit" is the most refined of our energies, but it is not "religious" or dogmatic. It does not promote blind faith or spiritual dependence. Everything offered in this Tradition is to be experienced and "proven" for oneself. The Integral Way is a refreshing approach to life that provides tools that help one develop health, happiness, longevity, and spiritual harmony and independence.
